Welcome! I'm

Cami Westervelt

ALC, NCC

If you’re feeling affected by anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, or relationship stress, you are not alone. My hope as a therapist is that counseling can be a place where you feel safe to explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create. I believe that meaningful change begins with authentic connection and a nonjudgmental environment where you can show up exactly as you are.

About Cami

I'm glad you're here

I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) in Alabama offering in-person and virtual counseling and therapy services to children, teens, adults, and couples. Whether you are navigating a life transition, considering a career change, or seeking clarity on how to manage life, I may be able to help!

I operate from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, incorporating trauma-informed and somatic (mind-body) interventions, mindfulness and yoga (originating from Southeast Asia and Buddhism), play therapy methods, expressive therapies, and attachment exploration. I can also incorporate more practical tools such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills.

I also strive to see my clients through a multicultural lens, taking into consideration any social, racial, or cultural identities they feel are important to who they are. I am an LGBTQIA2S+ ally.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling focused on understanding patterns, strengthening emotional regulation, and supporting wellbeing through life’s transitions.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling aimed to help couples deepen understanding of eachother, improve communication, and move toward greater relational wellbeing.

Kids and Teens

Child and adolescent counseling grounded in play-based methods and evidence-informed practices to support emotional regulation, identity development, and wellbeing.
